Free reception: Fusion: An exhibition of fiber arts at QArts Gallery
The 238 Textile Collective is a group of textile artists based on the East Coast, ranging from NH to Florida. Formed in 2019, the group works collegially in a diverse mix of methods and media to create, learn, and share. On display are forty-two works by eight fiber artists. Each piece represents an intersection of shared experiences and individual interpretation, expressed through various materials and techniques. Work exhibited by Leslie Alexander, Kimberly Bush, Betsy Disharoon, D.J. Drumm, Lyn Falcone, Rae Gold, Lee Johnson, and Cindy Ryan.
An opening reception is planned for Saturday, Oct. 14, 2-5 p.m at QArts Gallery ( 1229 Hancock St.) Public is cordially invited. Free event, light refreshments served.
