Plein Air Day at the Eustis Estate
Artists and enthusiasts are welcomed to the Eustis Estate for a day dedicated to plein air painting in connection with the special exhibition Artful Stories: Paintings from Historic New England. At noon, landscape painter Joseph McGurl gives a talk about the art and science of plein air painting and does an outdoor demonstration of painting techniques. Get inspired by the exhibition and set up an easel on the grounds to paint the beautiful landscape of the Blue Hills and the 1878 mansion.
Advance tickets recommended. Tickets include admission to the museum and special exhibition galleries. Painting supplies not included. Picnics on the grounds are encouraged.
