Wollaston 100 – Wollaston Branch Library Centennial Celebration
On Friday, January 27, 6:00 – 8:00 PM, the Wollaston Branch Library will host a 100th anniversary celebration of the Wollaston Branch opening.
The Wollaston Branch has been serving the Wollaston neighborhood as a library since its opening in January of 1923, when the Wollaston Woman’s Club conducted drives to fund the purchase of the land and to fill the shelves with books. Out of over a dozen branch libraries in Quincy over the decades, Wollaston is the oldest of the remaining three branches – and the smallest!
At this centennial celebration, enjoy refreshments, music, activities for kids and adults alike, and plenty of time to socialize and share memories of this community-built branch library.
The Wollaston Branch is not accessible to users with mobility impairments. Please see our website for more information on Accessibility.
