South Shore Neptunes Skin Diver’s Club

P.O. Box 690518, Quincy, MA 02169 | | Phone: 617-804-5637 | Website

For over fifty years the South Shore Neptunes dive club has attracted members from all over eastern Massachusetts. Today our membership includes over 130 sports divers ranging in age from 16 to 70. Our members occupations include students, fishermen, business executives and commercial divers. While some of our members have been diving for years, others are brand new to the sport.

The South Shore Neptunes is headquartered in Quincy, MA. The club meets in Quincy at 7:00 PM on the first Tuesday of every month, and the Board of Directors meet on the second Tuesday of every month. Please check our current newsletter to find out about additional activities or about our reinstituted Third Tuesday Nights. Meetings are held at the Common Market Restaurants 97 Willard St. Quincy. All divers interested in learning more about the club are invited to any one of our meetings.

The Neptunes activities are varied. There are regularly scheduled club dives and meetings, and a monthly newsletter detailing all of our upcoming educational and social events. In addition, members often get together in smaller groups for diving and special activities. These special activities range from local beach dives to Caribbean adventures. The goal of the club is to promote safe diving and appropriate precautions are taken at all activities. Members families and friends are also invited to participate in most club activities. Among the year’s annual events are: Diver-of-the-Year competition, New Year’s Day dive, picnic on George’s Island at the beginning of the summer, all-you-can-eat midsummer picnic at Duxbury beach, and the South Shore Neptunes Ice Dive in February. We sponsor year-round diving including monthly beach dives, boat dives, night dives and wreck dives.

Club members can introduce you to a new world of divers and diving experiences. The cost of membership is low, and the benefits are many.
